What we wouldn’t give for just one more day with you.

This is the first year we haven’t gotten a birthday list from you — and we all know how much you loved gifts! We miss calling you and hearing about your day… stopping by Uncle Ken’s for coffee, sneaking a stogie in the garage so Mom wouldn’t find out, how the news ticked you off, what went on at the VFW that week, and how you had a slice of your birthday pie the night before.

Apple was always your favorite, but in that last year, you sure loved rhubarb — either way, you tackled them both like a champ.

We’ll do our best to carry your passion forward — for life, for music, for nature, and for the family you loved so deeply. Your memories and stories still bring us smiles. You did well, Dad.
